ROULETTE

What is Roulette?

Roulette can be dated all the way back to 1655, as one of the oldest games of chance where a ball is dropped on to a revolving numbered wheel. The possibility of winning and how much depends on which number you bet on, how much you bet and where the ball will land. It might seem confusing at first, but it is actually very simple once you get the hang of it.

How to play Roulette?

There are three main types: American, European and French Roulette. However, the same principles apply. You place a bet, the croupier spins the wheel and releases the ball in the opposite direction than what the Roulette wheel is spinning. If the ball lands on a colour or bet type that you have placed – you win!

You can bet on a range of outcomes, these are: a single number or a range of numbers, red or black, odd or even and high or low. You may also come across the phrases inside and outside bets, what this means is the position on the Roulette table. Inside bets are the numbers and outside bets are everything else.

What is the difference between American, European and French Roulette?

European: Most common variation of Roulette which features 36 numbers and a single zero.

French: Uses the same wheel as European however, it has two extra betting options: la partage and en prison.

La Partage is when you will receive half of your bet back if you have placed an outside bet and the ball has landed on zero.

The en prison rule gives the chance to win your money back that was placed on an outside bet when the ball lands on zero. Your bet will remain in the same place and the croupier will spin the Roulette ball again, if the next spin wins then you get your money back.

You cannot play on any Live Roulette games for fun, so it is very important that you read the game rules prior to playing.

American: The numbers are positioned differently around the wheel and it has an added double zero. Due to this extra number on the wheel, it shifts the odds more into the houses favour.

What is the maximum bet I can make on Roulette?

Each type of Roulette game has its own minimum and maximum bet amounts. Please always ensure that you check the game rules prior to taking a seat/playing at the tables.

BLACKJACK

What is Blackjack?

This original casino table games dates back to the 1700’s in France with the name vingt-et-un or twenty-one and can now be found in almost every online and land-based casino in the world. As the name suggests, the aim of the game is to reach a score of 21 through two dealt cards, or if not to have a hand value higher than the dealer. Throughout the years, the game has evolved and there are now many different variants you can play which incorporate using different numbers of decks, and slightly different rules however the objective is the same – to beat the dealer and take the chips off the table.

How do you play Blackjack?

Each card is worth its face value except Jack, King and Queens which are valued at 10, while the Ace is either a 10 or a 1 depending on which suits your hand. You will be dealt two cards. The aim to get as close to the sum of 21 without going over, and to make sure you have a higher hand value than that of the dealer and therefore win the hand.

Once you have checked your cards, you will need to decide if you would like to ‘stand’ which means to keep the cards you have, or if you would like to ‘hit’ where you will be given another card. If you hit and your cards go over the value of 21 you will be ‘bust’ and the banker wins. When the banker deals their cards, they will do so face up so you can see straight away. Lastly, if you and the banker ever both get 21 from your first two cards dealt, then it is a tie and you will get your bet back.

What are the most popular Blackjack games?

The two most popular types of Blackjack are Classic and American Blackjack.

What is the difference between Classic and American Blackjack?

Classic Blackjack is popular with players from around the globe due to way it is seen to favour a player due to certain rules that the dealer must follow.

They must always hit if they have 16 or less and must stand if they have a 17 or higher. It is seen that you can use playing strategies such as doubling down after your first two cards or splitting the pair to have two hands. You are also allowed to double after splitting too.

However, American Blackjack has its plus points too!

In American Blackjack the dealer will gets both cards in comparison to only one until after you have finished your hand, which might not seem like something which could influence the game, but it actually does make a difference to the house edge.

You will also be able to double your bet regardless of the number achieved from the first two cards dealt to you. Lastly, a big difference in American Blackjack is that there is a type of play called ‘Equal Money’. It acts as a kind of insurance that is offered to you whenever the dealer has an Ace. It works out that if you have a Blackjack hand and make an ‘Equal Money’ bet, you will win an amount the same as your original bet no matter what hand the dealer manages to achieve.

What is the maximum bet I can make on Blackjack?

Each type of Blackjack game has its own minimum and maximum bet amounts. Please always ensure that you check the game rules prior to taking a seat/playing at the tables.

SLOT GAMES

Every game has different features, functions, bet limits and ways to play. This therefore means that each game also has its own RTP (Return to Player). RTP is the measurement percentage of the bet that is returned to the player through the wins that they manage to achieve. Normally when you refer to RTP, it is referring to a theoretical RTP. This means the average win over a specific time period which is usually 100 spins of the game divided by the initial amount wagered.

Then there is the real RTP which is the total win amount of the playing session divided by the total number of bets for that session. We always recommend that you check the RTP rate of a game and play the fun mode or demo version before you begin playing with real money wagers however it is important to consider that the RTP is the average amount after a large amount of game rounds/spins.

You can find more information on the Return to Player (RTP) rate here.

Will I get the RTP% stated back from whatever game I play?

It is very important to understand that you will NOT get the real RTP to match the theoretical RTP of a game. Please always remember that you are playing games of chance that also use random number generators so even after hundreds of millions of spins you might not get the RTP you seek.
